Here are some random notes about the construction of the board.
First of all, the board was constructed of four sections that fit over a regular Kimble board. A much easier solution would have been to make four sections with flat bottoms and model a shallow dice cup in the middle (themed as the Eye of Terror, of course), but the harder approach was selected because you have to have the Pop-o-matic dome or else it just isn't Kimble.

This picture shows the markings on the Home Base and Goal Area. Arrows show direction of movement for the Yellow Team. The color blending between sections can be seen in this picture too.

One section is detached to show the Kimble board underneath. The sections were build from 10 mm plactic deck roofing and shaped with bandsaw and minidrill/cutter. Bottom was evened out with cardboard. Top and sides were covered with black cotton canvas to provide a good base for terrain modelling.

Sixty plastic rings were cut with a bandsaw from a plastic tube that was slighly bigger than a standard slotta-base. Figures were glued on upside-down bases to make them go more easily into the rings.

The dimensions of the sections were designed to fit into a copier paper box. With relatively low profiles on the sections I was able to lower the box further and thus it fits into a bag for easy transport. There is a layer of thin foam between each section to protect them from transport damage.
